Black Swan Patented HONEY COMB® Barrel

Our HONEY COMB® Barrel has a medium toast, and has a “House” char, where the body has been charred to a #1, & the heads to a #3. The barrel has a combination of both HONEY COMB® and cross-grooved staves for maximum extraction rates and accelerated maturation.

Try to imagine all of the additional end grain cross sectional area that has been added to each stave whether it is cross-cut or routed with out Patented Honey Comb pattern.  All this area is now available for alcohol to permeate and extract a whole bouquet of wood based components.
