This barrel has a medium toast, #3 char, and has cross grooved staves for a faster extraction and accelerated maturation. * TTB approved.

The Patented Cross-Cut stave is a less costly and slower method of exposing end grain to oak or other wood’s extraction profile. Each wood species and sub-species provides different variations in flavor profile.

Cross cutting is less costly simply because the machining required for Honey Comb staves is not involved. It is the efficent middle road between a “Traditional” barrel and the high performance “Honey Comb” stave variant.
